Council to Ratify Local Budget Amendment in July

Jakarta Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) targeted to ratify 2014 Local Budget Amendment by the end of July.

We already received the 2014 KUA-PPAS amendment two days ago. We have conducted internal discussion and have to be accelerated. It should be approved by the end of July

Head of Jakarta Regional Legislative Council, Ferrial Sofyan said that the assessment of local budget amendment have to be accelerated. There are only 4,5 months remaining before the account book is closed.

“We already received the 2014 KUA-PPAS amendment two days ago. We have conducted internal discussion and have to be accelerated. It should be approved by the end of July,” said Ferrial, Friday (6/27).

According to him, Jakarta Provincial Government only has 4.5 months after the ratification. 1.5 months for auction, and 3 months conducting auctioned programs.

DPRD will summon city Bappeda to give explanation about General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Priority (KUA-PPAS) of 2014. "The meeting is held accordance with budget amendment composing," he added.

 

Sofyan asserted that the council has request City’s Regional Finance Management Board (BPKD) and Bappeda to divide which development programs or activities procured in local budget could be continued or stopped.

One of the development programs which listed in local budget is the construction of three Transjakarta bus corridors, such as corridor 13, 14, and 15. Besides of that, the budget utilization of 1,000 Transjakarta buses procurement becomes Government Budget Inclusion (PMP) of Jakarta Transportation (Transjakarta). “But some PMP that will be given yet will be discussed,” he revealed.
